🙆♂️The project "Circular Economy as an employability tool for NEET population" aims to enhance cross-border cooperation, with the goal of creating equal educational and employment opportunities for young people across Europe, especially for those coming from vulnerable socio-economic backgrounds.
✅ During the mobility training week held in Athens from November 20th to 25th, 2023, as part of the project, young people from Greece, Brussels, Vienna, and Italy had the opportunity to be trained in the basic principles of the circular economy and green skills.
✔️The activities included a tour of the Municipality of Petroupolis' Social Biological Vegetable Garden, where the principles of sustainable agriculture and local consumption were presented. Additionally, the visit to the Municipality of Nea Smyrni promoted the value of recycling and enhanced dialogue and the exchange of opinions.
🙆♂️Furthermore, through their visit to the "Fabric Republic" innovative clothing management system, participants learned about circular economy good practices in material and resource management. Specifically, through the example of applying the circular economy in the fashion industry, they learned about the collection, reuse, and recycling of surplus clothing. Participants learned how this process reduces waste and promotes sustainable consumption.
